During the ceremony itself, we typically operate from a respectful distance or altitude that minimises any noise or distraction. We've covered many ceremonies without a single complaint — discretion is something we take seriously.
We handle all airspace checks and liaise with the venue as part of every booking — that's included at no extra charge. As CAA licensed operators with A2 CofC and GVC certification, we can legally fly in most locations. If your venue is in a restricted zone, we'll identify this during the pre-flight check and discuss the options with you.
We monitor weather closely in the days leading up to your wedding. If conditions make flying unsafe or would result in poor quality footage, we'll discuss the options with you — whether that's adjusting the timing, focusing on indoor Avata coverage, or rescheduling drone coverage if the venue allows a return visit. We never fly in conditions that would compromise safety or quality.
No — and we always say this clearly. Drone coverage is a powerful addition to your existing team, not a replacement for it. We capture perspectives they physically cannot from the ground. Many couples book us as a complement to their existing videographer, and we're happy to coordinate with your other suppliers to make sure everything works seamlessly.
Summer Saturdays (May–September) book up fastest — often 6–12 months in advance. Weekday and winter dates are typically more available. We'd recommend checking your date as soon as you have a venue confirmed. Use the Check Your Date button to see current availability instantly.
Our main DJI drone captures wide establishing shots from above and around your venue — smooth, cinematic and sweeping. The AVATA 360 is a different experience entirely: it's a compact FPV drone that can fly through doorways, along corridors and through the ceremony room itself, giving an immersive first-person perspective. Most couples describe watching their Avata footage as feeling like flying through their own wedding. It's included in the Cinematic package and available as an add-on for Essential and Signature.
